Enjoy Outdoor Dining with a Boca Boat Rental
We have some great waterfront restaurants here in South Florida, including Cap’s Place, The Waterstone Resort & Marina, The Nauti Dawg Marina Café and The Delray Sands Resort. And there’s no better way to enjoy them than by visiting them with a boat charter out of Boca Raton.
And now, it’s easier to enjoy them because on September 1, the Palm Beach County Board of County Commissioners sent a letter to Gov. Ron DeSantis requesting that the county be allowed to move into Phase 2 Re-opening.
The letter read in part:
After careful consideration of conditions and indicators related to the spread of COVID-19, pursuant to the re-opening provisions of Section 4 of Executive Order 20-139, this letter is requesting application of the Section 4 and subsequent Phase 2 provisions to Palm Beach County.
The Board of County Commissioners met on September 1, 2020, and requests that Palm Beach County be moved into an incremental Phase 2 re-opening of businesses. The enclosed Incremental Phase 2 Reopening Plan outlines proposed steps for re-opening additional Palm Beach County businesses in staggered increments beginning approximately September 8, 2020. Evaluation periods are built in between each of the steps to allow for review of health metrics data to determine if any significant resurgence may be attributed to the advancement of the incremental openings.
On September 4, the governor granted the request. Executive Order Number 20-214 says that Palm Beach County is approved to move into Phase 2 of his Safe. Smart. Step-by-Step. Plan for Florida’s Recovery.
Not everyone agrees that the county was ready but there were a lot of local businesses that were happy to hear the news, including bowling alleys, movie theaters, skating centers, escape rooms and trampoline centers – all of which got the ok to reopen at 50% capacity.
Phase 2 also says that gyms, fitness centers, museums, libraries and stores can now operate at full capacity.
And the good news for folks wanting to hire a boat charter is that restaurants can now operate their outdoor dining areas at full capacity. Bar-top food service is ok now, too
